Jasper Löffelsend

Vista Athlete Jasper Löffelsend was drafted by Real Salt Lake City with 81st pick in the 2022 MLS Draft. He is the only German who has been selected in this years' draft.

After an outstanding college career at the University of Pittsburgh, the 24 year old two time ACC Defensive Player of the Year and All-American First Team will have a chance to compete for a contract in the MLS now.

Jasper serves as a role model of what we describe as the alternative career path. He is an example of a player that competed in the Men's Regionalliga and Oberliga but did not break into one of the first three professional leagues right away.

During his time at the University of Pittsburgh, he took advantage of the professional setting and showcased his talent and strong work ethic which helped him to develop further as a player and person. Now, he is ready to take the next step in his professional career.

Jasper is the first Vista Player who was selected in the MLS Draft, but certainly will not be the last. We at Vista Athletics are committed to represent excellent players along with a clear mind set.

On behold of the whole Vista Family we congratulate to a historic accomplishment and wish you nothing but the best for the future.

"Vista Athletics made my dream come true of being a student athlete. They are creating a friendly environment, but work very professional. If I had a question I got always a quick and solid answer, even after the placement. I am very happy that I took the step to the USA together with Vista Athletics. I'm looking forward to seeing them again!"

Philipp totaled five points on two goals and a helper in SJU's 2-0 week. In SJU's 2-1 road win over Rhode Island, the midfielder from Hamburg, Germany, earned the assist on the match-winner in the 90th minute. He then went on to score both goals in SJU's 2-1 road win over UMBC for his first collegiate goals."

Thomas Gilej | Ohio State University

"I am very happy that I had chosen Vista and a football scholarship in the US - it was the right decision! I always had the feeling that it was about me as a person, as a student and as a player, and that my wishes and my ideas were taken into account. I was able to speak to Vista with all questions and problems that arose in the process. Even now, already on site in the US, I can still count on the support of Vista. "

Aneta Gilej - Mother of Thomas:

"Vista was definitely the right decision for me, and especially for my son! I was able to say all of my concerns and expectations that came up. They were taken into account throughout the process. I always felt I was part of the process. The latest developments and progress were always communicated with me. Especially in this difficult time with COVID-19, Vista was always transparent about the consequences of the pandemic for studying in the USA. I have always been satisfied with the cooperation and can only report very positive things."
